Wanderlust

"If I got 94 crores in a day, I will up and leave, pick R from his office, and we will wake up in a new city every 2 days for the rest of our lives."

"I want to take 6 months off work and take off. Get off at any station, go wherever, eat whatever. I just want to be on the road."

"Why I love airports/ bus stops/ ships/ Indian Railways/ road trips."

"Let's get a Thunderbird. I don't care how much it costs." Sure!

"No children, just an open jeep will be great, thank you!"

"Let's go to Wayand in August, Coorg in September, holiday with parents in October. Can we go to Pondicherry in December? Or Hampi? I have decided we are going to Goa in February. Oh s*** weren't we supposed to go to Rajasthan in December? Ok, next December. North east? If we move to Delhi, we can go to Dharamsala anytime! I haven't seen Ooty yet, do you think it is fair? From tomorrow, I am going to start saving for a luxury holiday in Phi Phi Island. Andaman on an SCI ship.. Fast!  Greeeece. Ladakh again. Bangalore to there by road. Tell him we will also go to Everest base camp....."

I wonder why all my "me time" every evening and most of my conversations are about traveling. In the near future, I see myself doing only 2 out of the 10 things I plan, unplan, and replan everyday. But I have a very, very long, and forever changing wishlist. All I really want from life is all the time and money to travel. I am surprised I have come to realise this completely only in the last couple of years, thanks to an always obliging, extremely enthusiastic travel mate. My wishlist does explain my all nighters before every college trip and summer vacation sojourns to Calcutta or "ship" (That is what we used to call joining Dad on some cargo vessel far away from reality). I have always loved traveling. I have realised it only now.

I want all the time, money, and health to be on the road (or water bodies or railway track) for the rest of my life. Dear Rich Estranged Relative Of My Most Beautiful Dream, are you listening? You take care of the money, it will take care of the time and health.
